Theodore John "Ted" Leonsis (born 1957), businessman, investor, and owner of multiple Washington, D.C. professional sports teams including the Washington Wizards (NBA), Washington Capitals (NHL), Washington Mystics (WNBA), and Capital One Arena. Former AOL executive and vice chairman. Named in victim Virginia Giuffre's handwritten journals listing men she was directed to have sexual encounters with by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Listed in Epstein's contact directory ("black book") with multiple phone numbers. Leonsis is part of a cluster of D.C.-area figures — alongside Dan Snyder, Jim Kimsey, and Steve Case — who all appear in the same victim journals.
